There are great places to visit including Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, where you can have a picnic by the Intracoastal. It’s really beautiful and quiet there. The address is 3109 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 – (954) 564-4521.
There’s also Fort Lauderdale Beach if you’re in the mood for some sea time. You can reach it by driving east on Sunrise Blvd until you reach A1A. There’s plenty of parking as well.
